I've been prepping for AF, so I wanted to make a companion piece to my Maristella concept art from March... but this time, for Vespera! so here she is, our lovely star-weaving Goddess ✨

Vespera is the Caelecosm's Goddess of Time & the Cosmos, once thought to have ruled alongside fellow Goddess Astrid. not unlike Maristella, much of her story has been lost to time - but in recent decades, Vespera has gained a steady resurgence of reverence amongst those who've lost their faith in the teachings made under Astrid's name.

while Vespera's legends have become fragmentary and inconsistent, she is still widely known and loved for her role in weaving the Cosmos back together; after the cyclical collapse of the Universe, she gathers the pieces left behind of the old world and reconnects them into the new world.

(like Maristella, Vespera is largely inspired by real-life Deities; Kannon, the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy, and Ame-no-Uzume, the Shinto Goddess of the Dawn & Revelry. read up on the latter's mythos, btw. yuri is real and it saved Japan! /silly :D)
