Pokémon's been around for 30 years, how cool!

I watched the trailer for the newest games, Pokémon Winds and Waves, and it seems pretty good, from the few things we've seen! Can't say I like the designs for the starters besides Pombon, but I'll see if that opinion changes with time lol. Also, Gecqua being described as "the intelligent Water Gecko Pokémon" on the official site reminds me of Inteleon for some reason lol

I also liked how, at the very start of the trailer, we see a sketchbook showing Pikachu going across all the mainline game regions (except Kanto? Unless it was the colorless sketch at the start?) Very neat :D Pikachu walking onto the sketchbook out of nowhere was very cute and the weird water tower thing reminds me of the Summer Palace from Wings of Fire for some reason

Also, Mr. Windychu and Ms. Wavychu look very cute (especially Wavychu! Look at her!!) They remind me of the Cosplay Pikachu in X and Y and I'm curious on what their deal is. Also, Ms. Wavychu having pink cheeks immediately reminded me of that one episode in the anime where Pokémon could eat berries that turned parts of them pink, and how Ash's Pikachu had pink cheeks in it (mb if I'm misremembering it lol)

Only thing I could say I dislike about the trailer is the fact that Pikachu's cry is still its old one :( When Pikachu got its old cry back in Legends: Arceus, I thought it was just a cool callback that would only be present there since it takes place in the past, but it seems like it's going to be permanent, which is sad 'cause I always thought Pikachu having a voice was cute. (Same goes for Eevee, haven't heard it go "Evoi!" after Legends: Arceus, unfortunately :/) Also, the Pokéball just suddenly stopping while catching a Pokémon looks kinda weird so hopefully they'll change that lol

Not sure which version I'll personally pick. I was thinking Waves, but Winds also might be cool. I also like the trainer outfits in Winds more but what if Ms. Wavychu isn't in Winds? D: No clue what she'll do, but still! Ah well, I got an entire year to think it over ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Can't wait to see all the new Pokémon and Legendaries!
