As a casual Helluva Boss fan, I can relate to Stolas. But I can exercise my design and rewriting skills from time to time. That is “what if Stolas was the villain”. In the rewrite I had in mind, Stolas lives a double life of being a Goetia prince and hooking up with men of his status (i.e., soldiers, generals, etc.). He meets Blitz, who is seeking a magic object that accesses to Earth.
They have a transaction/hookup deal with the grimoire, but Stolas starts to have affection for the imp which may expose his homosexuality. After Blitz leaves the deal for a magic crystal from Asmodeus, Stolas forces Blitz to confess that he “stole the grimoire”. He sentences the imp to death and Stolas is left to suffer for his unrequited love. In other words, he's like Daniel Lavoie's portrayal of Claude Frollo from the 1998 musical Notre Dame de Paris.
