its BLITZ...O!
overall, i think helluva boss has a lot better design than hazbin hotel, but that doesn't mean i have issues with some design choices.
one of my main gripes with blitz is his spikes. there's one on top of his head that in 90% of shots blends into his bigger horns, and the others tend to get forgotten/very minor details that don't really add or detract from the rest of the design. i nixed the black spot on the tail tip, i felt it made it blend into the BG too much as well.
i HATE those dohickeys on his gloves. they add NOTHING, they represent NOTHING, its just detail for the sake of detail which is the last thing you want for animation. the rest is just minor changes to his clothes to get away from the suitcoat design vivzie is so fond of. still a bit of a suitcoat, but he wears it open and it has a cut in the back for his tail.
finally, i changed up his clothing colors to better let his design read better. while i think the show relies too heavily on dark colors which blend into the BG far too often, I think redistributing his colors in this way makes it so even if he's on a dark background, the important parts (face, hands) are still visible while still having a good balance of lights and darks all over his design.
i wish he wasn't a misogynist, he's one of my favorite designs outside of my gripes. love his stupid large ass head lol
