Cooper! It's Cooper. She was the first Extinction character to be created all the way back in 2021, where she was just a person in isolation before I gave her a world to exist in. The nickname "Cooper" originated in high school and it stuck because she likes the sound. Her real name is Maria Alvarez but nobody calls her this. She's a troodontid dinosaur (a very vague and stylized depiction of one but one nonetheless). Cooper lives with her girlfriend, Tess, and is floundering around struggling trying to find employment after dropping out of an engineering degree for a variety of reasons, but the whole situation is mostly blamed on a particular incident which she does not like to acknowledge. She likes to pretend to be simple-minded because she believes it makes her more palatable, and somewhat leans into being a "failure" as an identity as she struggles to navigate the transition to adulthood.
