Five Nights at Freddy's (unfortunately) still holds a soft spot in my heart, and I have been wanting to experiment with my character design imaginings of them once again. This piece has been done for a while, and I'm working on a sister location one as well. I wanted to work with a mix of how the animatronics look, how I've drawn them in the past, and sort of just blend those into my present style. I've surprisingly never drawn Chica's cupcake before, so this was my first time!
I know one controversial aspect of my previous iterations was Bonnie. Young me saw Bonnie as a girl (mostly because of the name and priming from other art) even though canon confirmed him to be male. With how I see Bonnie nowadays, well. Bonnie is Bonnie. Bonnie does not care what you call them. They're a rabbit, they're a guitarist, and minus the dead children and minimal maintenance thing, they're happy with their life. Basically the "it's a rabbit, who cares" thing in FNaF world. When I'm done with my Sister Location lineup, I'm not sure what other animatronic designs I'll visit? Maybe Security Breach. But I'm not fully sure on that. OG FNaF and Sister Location were the ones that imprinted on me the strongest. I could also do like. Anthropomorphized versions of my other FNaF OCs too, but I'll get there when I get there. I also never properly designed or redesigned Toy Penelope, so that could be another project.
I did include Ani-Penelope in this since. I've been drawing her with these guys since the first iteration of their imaginings since 2014-- with cringy descriptions included. In my AU stuff, she's part of the gang--whether she likes it or not
