Born in the 1960s Melody Clynie lost her parents at a young age and was forced to live with an abusive aunt and uncle. When she was 11 she joined the Venus Outlaws, a small time all female gang with a vicious reputation. Her growing prowess for stealing and fighting gained her the nickname "Fatale."

At age 17 the Venus Outlaw's rival gang the Flash St. Mob set off a sneak attack that wiped out the Venus Outlaws. Severely hurt Fatale was spirited away along with the other remaining survivors. Waking up she found herself wrapped up like mummy due to her wounds and prisoner of a cult. Tonight an eclipse was to take place and Fatale and her gang were set to be sacrifices so the cult leader could gain supernatural powers. In a bit for freedom Fatale disrupted the ceremony and the powers were transferred into her. Weak from her wounds she could not handle the strain of magic and died on the spot. The cult preserved her body for future use, to drain the dormant powers from her or revive her for their ends.

Years later with a little skullduggery Fatale was revived in place of another. Naturally pissed at all that happened she lashed at the cult and its members. Now loose in the present day she is out for blood and revenge for what happened to her gang.
