These are all twelve elements in Rearing Redwoods!! I thought that the symbols for the elements being in the shape of a hoofprint would be cool :D

Every Equine is born with 3 elements, no more or no less, and which elements they get is determined by the ones their parents have. It cannot skip generations, if a grandparent had the Earth Element, but neither of the parents do, then the foal cannot be born with the Earth Element. The Wind Element is the only one exclusive to certain equine types, while the rest of the elements any equine can have. All Flighted Equines, such as Pegasi, Hippofae, Hipposideros, Hippogriffs, Hippalectryons, and one Horned Equine, Qilins, can have the element. Some equine types are always born with a certain element; the previously mentioned Flighted Equines are always born with the Wind Element (Qilins are not always born with it, it's just an element option they have), and Aquatic Equines, Hippocamps and Kelpies, are always born with the Water Element. When a foal is born, they are unable to use their elements because their Aura Nervous System (mostly simply called their Aura), the thing that allows animals to use their elements, is dormant. As they grow older, their Aura Nerves will start to activate until they are fully activated around 5 years old.
