Soo remember Chuki? These two right here, Kosa and Dosari, are Chuki's half-aunts/half-sisters and around her age. They were adopted by Batini, Chuki's mother.

Batini's mother Hasira had Kosa and Dosari with Mapambano, Batini's mate, in the hopes of finally bearing a boy after the disappointment of Batini being a girl. Insert a curse word here, she got two more girls and treated them like garbage, not ever truly accepting them as her own.

It was a good thing Batini was nursing Chuki around that time, otherwise the twins wouldn't have made it. Baby daddy Mapambano didn't care much either, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed. He saw Hasira being upset by the cubs and decided to ignore them as well. The only reason he became Batini's mate in the first place was because Hasira promised him a chance to continue his lineage and lots of attention. You can easily guess he didn't get that when Hasira had the two girls, but he was willing to make it right again, and that's a story for another day.
