That has been an amazing an weekend, not only that but when i got another glance with Sonic Racing CrossWorlds this time at Open Network Test, and then... something new outside of CrossWorlds, not just that but... a LOT other stuff happened this friday and i'm here on this journal to talk about it!
Sonic Racing CrossWorlds
I'm really excited for Sonic Racing CrossWorlds next month, i haven't been this excited for every new Sonic games since Unleashed n' All-Stars Transformed but as for this game, y'know this will definitely win me over i mean Sonic is on FIRE this decade, yeah yeah... i know, i know the 2010s for Sonic has been a bit of a disaster beyond redemption, and now they're finally getting things right special thanks to the TRUE sonic devs n' writers especially YOU Ian Flynn, and as for CrossWorlds tho, this can be a comeback to the Sonic Riders series and All-Stars Transformed but all combined into one game but warp in to our fan-favorite levels throughout the franchise we haven't seen in a decade, and somehow... this could rival up Mario Kart World or Kirby Air Riders this year, oh yeah... Mario Kart World did came out before CrossWorlds, last few months at Switch 2 launch and........ ouch... at least Kirby Air Riders would make it up.
Anyways with Open Network Test out, i can finally play with the style of Extreme Gear (which i primarly use for this game cuz i miss Sonic Riders)! Grand Prix is a rival fest where i can rival up the opponents in this mode, i always go with Sonic Speed so it'll be more challenging for me to race against them, Time Trials is also neat but the World Match is competetive as hell no matter how much you compete everyone online but it does level you up a ranking system everytime you reach to the finish line, doesn't matter what place you're at as long you're not too frustrated, just take your time and win next time to reach the highest rank to become a legend. Overall, i did had fun with the Open Network Test plus i'm gonna be up all night for the festival and Joker. And now for the full release i am looking forward next month!
There's also a new animated short followed up to the Network Test and it was FUCKIN' FIRE! The same animators who made Dark Beginnings are back to promote a short for this game, is anyone getting 2008 Speed Racer vibes here?!
Rollin' Rascal
I haven't brought this one up but this is a Sonic GT (or Blitz/Worlds)-like indie game that goes expressively hard, and as a big-time Sonic fan myself i can get a good taste for what they're cooking up for this project, after playing the demo for myself i can say i really liked playing it! like the momentum platform is a good idea if Sonic Team step this one up with momentum speed automatically earning the boost like in Advance 2 without boosting manually too much, with Rollin' Rascal on the other hand they nailed it, it's like i'm testing reflexes with the momentum and avoiding bumping in walls n' enemies to break the speed limit to the max, that was this game's building up to for newcomers n' any sonic fans who haven't played this, try out the demo and have fun with the multiplayer mode to race with other people!
Now it's time for the Rundown! It's quite fantastic teasing new stuff, new chapter system, new levels such as Donut Derby n' Wild Waste and new characters we should like, they also opened up PledgeBox for pre-order after the launch, they also finished the Outfit Packs, that was neat! I also love the new expression animation here they feel so alive and pretty funny to lighten up the mood! OH, and when i saw that the game is gonna be ported onto Switch 2, good for them! Anything to make Nintendo Switch holders happy to play the game! :D
They're also hiring voice actors/actresses for the game, yes...! yes...! I am so gonna look forward to hearing voices for two protagonists and other new characters, it's a great opportunity for them auditioning a role for this game! If you're one of the voice actors/actresses who wants to audition a role for a protagonists or background characters, then this game is perfectly for you, gonna leave a link down below to get your chance, check it out the link below:

Yeah, that's kinda about it, i like the rundown n' new stuff to anticipate the following updates, good stuff! good stuff!
Knights of Guinevere
It's been years since The Owl House finale and Dana's departure from Disney to work on new projects, and then she found GLITCH to pitch her next series "Knights of Guinevere"! GLITCH's first and fully 2D animated indie series Dana Terrace has been building up along with her crew who worked on The Owl House, the first teaser got me hooked and the next trailer is where i am so pumped to watch next month and obviously a week before Sonic Racing CrossWorlds. Cool! Two anticipated gems for next month! The setting of this series reminds me of Fallout, DeadEndia or The Electric State (no, it's not the movie) with some bits of elements in with some inspiration by disney theme parks, well... 80s style kind of theme park to an instant, it feels so tragically psychological and dystopian what happened to the theme park and a broken princess android, if this is a wakeup call of what Disney is milking in recently and how greed they are, then this will be the answer to easily mock them. I had my time with Gaslight District, as for Guinevere? Well... dream on cuz this is gonna be a lot of insane stuff happening, surprise us Terrace! >:3
Rebecca Sugar's Ice Water
I don't know what to say about this but... this song is beautiful...! Rebecca Sugar is back with another banger along with the music video by Jellybox, i can tell when you're starting as an artist no matter what happens or where you go, you just got everything with you to start your journey, and it hits really hard, this is a love letter to many artists who graduated and begin to work in the industry so talented, and yeah... i know there are hell'ish things this decade has rough around the edges but that doesn't stop you from becoming an artist you are now, and this song will help you and inspire you to keep on drawing and never give up on your dreams to start fresh! Rebecca delivered this beautifully for artists, animators, etc.!
Oh yeah, this is also featured on the Album "Lonely Magic", there are plenty of songs Rebecca wrote and sung for this album, "Hill to Die On" is popularly a favorite for this album, many others are great as well especially "This Is a Love Song" which rocks, but "Ice Water" will always be a heartwarmer for many artist to listen to~
If ya haven't listened or watched this yet, give it a try! It will change your life and help you become a better artist! :3
Far-Fetched / DRAIN - Bleed You Dry
Do i need to say anything? After the hyjack on Bluesky where Drain is taking over and man were they teasing us a new song for us to listen for Far-Fetched?! I was expecting new animated trailer but no, they showed off the new song Sesamoid wern't involved, also this song does give me some Hex Girls aesthetics here and the vocals from Soulfiera is kinda top notch, so..... that's about it for this takeover i guess, i will be expecting more from the team behind Far-Fetched.
Go listen to this song:
They must love their jobs surprising us with new stuff to anticipate and few came out swinging, that was the friday i've ever had and it's not even enough! I love all of them and i can check them out anytime! :3
