V = D / T is the physics formula for calculating velocity.
Velocity equals distance over time.
I watched an experimental film about the idea of measuring the distance between loved ones by timezones, (warning for eyestrain on that!) and it oddly struck me with some sense of that a lot of my friends, online or otherwise, I have a time zone difference with - whether that's 30 minutes, 1 hour or 13 hours of difference. I've only once met over the internet that shared the same time zone and wasn't in the same area, and that was only someone I spoke to once. Because of the impact of that film, in this piece I quoted it and decided to continue with the theme by layering a bunch of images over a map and eventually drew the bird to go with it all, the idea being they're perching or landing on the line that represents distance.
