Oooh hello new visitors! And thank you for the spotlight feature @omi!! 💕 I'm glad everyone likes my color studies so much. I took a looooong break this last year from The Practice of little paint studies to work on books and other things ... but I'm anxious to get back to it! (And maybe sneak in a little development for new characters and stories??? WHO KNOWS!!!) I'm not giving up doodling little guys, but I'll leave what I'm working on for the smol frens a secret for now ;D

How do you feel about taking breaks from things you love doing? I felt a little burned out on painting last winter, which was why I decided to stop for a bit ... that, and I felt like changing styles from "paint" to "cartoon" to work on comics was a little hard on my brain ... but in that absence I kinda saw the process and routine with new eyes? Coming back, I am trying to be more careful about finding new things to keep myself interested and fresh.

Anyway, just some thoughts ~ I have a deadline this week ... Thanksgiving is next week ... I'm excited for pie!!
