Guys idk what happened last night, but I had like this sudden burst of energy and I did two full pages of doodles with my markers, frantically paced around the house while listening to music to get more ideas and then passed out before I could do another page
I think I had OC brainrot overload 😭
I loved doodling with these new markers tho, the colors are so nice and also what I did doodles of…wasn’t dinosaurs like wtf??! Tye didn’t draw dinosaurs 4 once holy shit it’s a miracle lol
I also wanted to update y’all on the clay guys, the spino is completely dry and I’m gonna start painting it today!!!
The dimetrodon…is giving me hell rn cuz the tail started cracking and I patched it up, but I think I’m gonna have to add more cuz I can still see a bit of cracking UGGGH I’m trusting the process tho and if adding more clay doesn’t work I’m gonna have to just glue it

I bought some stuff while I was out mainly stuff 4 my next project and some more markers cuz doodling with markers is very therapeutic to me, I like switching out colors every so often as I draw so I got some more colors to use YIPPEE!!
As 4 my next project I will be using that unused construction paper I talked about before and cutting it into separate pieces to create a scene with!
I have an idea to do a microraptor perched in a tree :3
Also another small update on the clay critters, I noticed MORE cracking on the spino so I patched it up and the dimetrodon is taking a bit to dry as I almost broke its tail off while I was adding clay to the spine cuz it was still too soft and I also think I might’ve got clay dust in my eye lol
I think (if all goes well) I should be able to finally start painting the spino by tomorrow, but the dimetrodon needs more time to dry
Another day, another journal post lol
Working on my current clay projects has been surprisingly fun and refreshing and now I want to make more things!
There’s a lot of cool stuff I wanted to make, but didn’t get around to it so now I think would be a good time to try it :]
I’ve been feeling a lot more motivated lately and this kinda energy does NOT come to me often so I don’t wanna waste it rotting in bed doing nothing lol
I’ve also been thinking of returning to my roots and really getting back into traditional art, I’ve been wanting to start on a new sketchbook 4 a while now and recently watching a video about decking out your sketchbook has made me want to get one even more now
I think what I was really burned out on was digital art since I’ve honestly haven’t been in the mood to even touch my drawing tablet lately
I’m going out of town again today so I might pick up some more stuff or just browse the aisles in the art and crafts section 4 some inspiration idk lol
It’s crazy how I not only said I’ll be making less dinosaur/paleo stuff and even said not long ago I thought I was getting burned out on it only to make 2 clay sculptures of the very thing I said I was burned out on, it’s March now at this point I’m gonna be only posting over here 4 a whole year again like this should’ve been my main account 😭
I also found some unused construction paper and now I have another idea which will once again involve a dinosaur…
I feel bad I keep bringing up my other OCs and stuff and then never actually posting anything about them cuz I do think about them I just haven’t made anything yet (plus I’m like nervous af to show anything about them nowadays sorry)
I just love making art of these cool ass prehistoric creatures so much, but also let me out…I GOTA GET OUTE!!!!
Cuz as much as I love making art of dinosaurs and stuff, it can be frustrating when I literally can’t do anything else
I’ve learn though to just let this run its course and eventually I’ll be focusing on something else even if it’s 4 a short while lol
Also since I’ve rambled my ass off in this journal I should give a little update on my clay guys, everything appears to be holding up well rn on both of them and I see no cracking :]
Update today on my clay project or projects I should say cause I made another one lol
So the tail started cracking on the spino and the arms had fell off so I had to do some repairs, I then started making a dimetrodon since it's one of my fave prehistoric animals :3
While the dimetrodon is done, I'm worried that the sail might start cracking once it starts drying since it's kinda leaning a bit to the side (which is why it's propped up rn) so I'll be watching that
If all goes well I will be painting both of them soon!
