Repost from November 2019. At the time, I was developing an idea to potentially make into a fantasy graphic novel/comic. I ultimately decided the idea would work better NOT in comic-form like that though, hence why this is the first (and last) I've posted of my development work here. But since this particular piece had fully colored examples, demonstrating roughly what the final product might've looked like, I figured it was good for reposting here.
For context, the first three images were made so to experiment with textures on the characters/creatures in question, trying to capture a specific look that would be easy to replicate, not needlessly add to production time, and not require me doing it entirely manually every time. This was me testing to see which I liked the best (I was leaning towards the second one ultimately). The remainder were just to see how characters would look in full color and how to render them so to match what I was generally envisioned them as.
