Leicia is the name of the planet btw

After sitting on the sketch for a good 4 months I decided it was time to lower my standards again. If I wasn't going to finish it "proper" then I was gonna finish it some other way. The final version has a bit of that colored sketch and half-rendered vibe which I'm fine with. It looks alright for what it is, aka one of my first properly scenic artworks. Backgrounds are... not my forte.

Another reason for scrapping the idea of working really hard for this piece was simply that the scene I had intended it for turned out very different from what I originally planned. It was much less 'Verno appears and normal characters wonder what's up with the giant sky snake" and more "something is wrong, turns out it's Verno, and he's here to fuck shit up". My fault really, I should have known to not place my expectations of this guy so low. Of course he was going to be ridiculously extra about literally anything.

I should tell myself that more often. "It's time to lower the expectations again." It could really help with all of the other projects that are sitting in the "maybe someday" -folder.
