Another mini ref for a pokemon on my trainersona Aryn's team!
The reason this one doesn't have a Charmander version is because I draw the forms from when Aryn first met them, he got Zeke as a Charmeleon!
A few years before moving to Galar, Aryn and friends made a stop in Kalos and while his friends decided to go somewhere else, Aryn decided to stay behind as he met someone special, a shiny pokemon researcher called Erik, Aryn's first romantic partner!
During the time Aryn stayed in Kalos with Erik, he received Zeke as a gift, a pokemon he had been researching for a while then! But Erik was not the incredible partner Aryn hoped, and soon they parted ways, leaving Aryn terribly depressed, and Zeke feeling guilty, like a poor divorce child </3
Aryn's friends eventually came to visit and cheer him up, and as he decided to leave Kalos, Zeke made the decision to stay behind at the daycare he was raised, Erik had already left but he didn't feel worthy of going with Aryn, fearing it could be a reminder of bad times.
After settling in Galar though, Aryn wanted to go back to Kalos for a vacation, and decided to stop by the daycare to check on Zeke, who nearly cried seeing him again. Now with a much more supportive partner, Aryn reassured he wanted Zeke to come with them to Galar, and offer him not only a nice new home, but also an important job at his own daycare center!
Zeke is a shy and unusually quiet Charizard, a very careful and caring one too, and being used to the daycare work he was ready to do his best, now next to the trainer never wanted to part ways with <3
