Who is your main persona? (Could be any kind of sona, like a fursona or a ponysona.)
Storm and Vivie are equally my main!
Which sona most accurately represents you? This could be physically, personality wise, whatever you think fits best.
Storm and Vivie are pretty much me more or less. Though I'd also say Dakota. I put more of myself into him than I meant to and he ended up as an accidental sona because of that
Storm is looks wise the most though except she's what I wish I looked like plus a neko
Which sona do you use most frequently? Why?
Vivie! She's the one I love to draw the most
Sona(s) you feel you neglect? (Don’t draw enough, doesn’t have lore, etc)
The rest of my sonas I haven't mentioned. I'd say Fidget and Minty especially. Fidget because she's the one I'm least attached to. Minty is because I've gotten much less interested in fan characters
What did your first sona look like? Describe them or show a picture.
This question depends heavily on multiple factors. It could be Tangleleap, Tangle, or Skye
Tangleleap because she was my very first oc and when I was doing roleplays on the old official Warriors forums, I was just doing what I'd do more or less. Though Idk if I knew what a sona was back then. But I do consider her a Warriorssona now, and she was my first oc I created
Tangle loops around back to that idk when I learned about the word sona thing. She was the second character along with her sister I ever made, and she was basically me until she finally got a design in around 2016. She became her own character after awhile
If we're talking I knew what a sona was? It'd be Skye. She was my very first fursona and the first one purposely made with the intent of being a sona. Though she was made years later after the first two. In late 2016 while the other two mentioned where made 2010/11
How does your first sona contrast with your current one(s)?
Gonna go with Skye for this one since she'd be the easiest to compare. Skye's a blue wolf, and compared to my other fursonas, they're more or less a real color you'd see on their animal. Vivie's a brown bat, Fidget is an orange cat, and Kipper is a yellow fennec
What were the inspirations for your sonas’ names, be it past or present?
Ohhh get ready this one is a ramble. Adding half sonas to this for fun
Storm - Was looking into names for my main sona to represent me. Storm felt fitting due to how emotional I can get and especially how I felt at the time
Vivie - Okay secret Vee lore. Before I made her I tried out D&D. Ended up not a fan, but my character's name was Viola and I think her nickname was Vee. I wanted to keep Vee and was thinking of what a full name could be. And eventually settled on Vivie! I swear no one says her name right though. It's not "Veevee" It's Vi Vee
Dakota - He was originally named Nero since I always liked that name. Changed it to Dakota since I adore that name more. Actually had like 2 other ocs with the name Dakota but one never stuck until I made this guy
Kipper - Her placeholder name was Egg or Eggnog. But I was thinking of names I'd like better. I was searching all over for nice names and ended up with Kipper
Fidget - Dust: An Elysian Tale. Vivie was originally gonna be a Nimbat FC and the only nimbat in the game is Fidget. I'm told I'm a lot like her, so perfect name and reference! Plus I have ADHD and I like having something to do with my hands so Fidget!
Mintyheart - HS friend! First got into MLP in HS and I was drawing ponies. Colored one in that was pretty different from her current design, and my friend said she looked like a Mintyheart. So I stuck with the name and used it when I designed her
Half sona time!
Tangle & Talon - The Raslio sisters' names were taken from my original Warriors name Tangletalon! I considered changing them to Tania and Talia, but I loved Tangle and Talon too much and I'm glad I stuck with them
Hope - A long story short, Hope is the name of the main character of my fav Pokemon love story An Eevee Named Hope. I adore the name, and finally used it for this girl
Do you have a sona related to a fandom? Show or describe them!
Tangleleap was already mentioned! Same with Minty! Minty is the only fandom sona who's on my main TH account. Though I do also have two trollsonas. A main trollsona named Krizat. And a quiz assigned trollsona named Remari. You can kinda tell who I like more XD
I guess I could also mention Vivie's Sonic AU? And Frost was originally my Spyrosona! I kinda still consider her a half sona. Just more confident
Do your sonas have a common theme amongst them? A similar personality, or maybe a shared aesthetic?
All of them share large parts of myself. It's why I consider them a sona
Which of your sonas is the least like you? In what way?
Dakota's male so there's that XD
Personality wise, Kipper probably! She's a mix of who I am and who I wanna be!
RULES:
Answer each question in as much detail as you like. Skip anything you don't know or would prefer not to answer.
How many usernames have you had? (You don't have to share them!)
A few. Most were a variation with numbers. I have these listed on my site so
Tangleleap, Tangletalon38, LunarsStorm, and Stormchi
Variation includes Tangle38 and Storm with numbers at the end. Stuck with Stormchi the longest!
I have used TangledUpInHope for art specific accounts on social media too
What does your current username mean?
It's just a mashup of Storm and Neko. Idk how it took me until last year to come up with it
What is the first program you used to make digital art?
MS Paint if we're talking when I started messing with art programs. Fire Alpaca when I actually started drawing digitally
Where did you first start posting your art?
Deviantart
What is the first piece of media you drew fanart for?
Depends if we're talking when I was a kid or when I started actually doing art that wasn't just copying what I saw
As a kid, Pokemon. Not copying what I saw? Sonic or Pokemon i think
Who was your first self-insert/persona/fursona? What did they mean to you?
Technically it was Tangle until she was made into her own character! Fursona it was Skye. Tangle still means a lot to me, and she's one of my fav OCs! I still go by the name Tangle as well. Skye means a lot to me because she was the reason I got my drawing tablet out and started drawing
Who is your current self-insert/persona/fursona? How are they different to your first?
I have multiple sonas, but Storm and Vivie are the main two. Storm is different because she's how I wish I looked. Same eye color (But she wears blue contacts) and same hair color and all that. Plus she's a neko while Tangle is a normal human. Vivie is more naturally colored, and the first fursona I actually stuck with
What phases/styles has your art gone through? (e.g. Did you have an anime era, a cartoon style, a watercolour phase?)
Idk if I've gone through one? I don't understand how to change my style, so it's just gotten more refined and you can see the improvement
What/who do you think has influenced your art style the most?
MLP, anime, and cartoons. MLP due to that being the first thing I started drawing other than coloring bases. And I grew up, and still do, watch cartoons and anime. It's the style I like the most
What/who inspired you to be an artist?
I dunno! I've always been someone who liked to draw!
What tools are integral to your current workflow? (e.g. Programs, brushes, references.)
Drawn references. Normally from Pinterest and I look for the original link to save it wherever that is too. Medibang Paint for art program. I wanna try different ones, but I've stuck with this one for so long! Brush wise, Smooth G-Pen, a rough pencil brush or normal pencil brush depending on my mood, And I use watercolor, airbrush, sometimes blur, and a soft eraser too. Other than that I play around sometimes
What improvements have you made recently?
I drew some nice digigrade legs for refs recently! I'm also working on hands and shading!
What steps would you like to take in the future?
I'd like to relax more and focus on having fun instead of getting caught up in making things look right!
