A world meant to be forgotten at the end of the journey.
Unsure how you got here when it hasn't even begun, but welcome to the Game while it sets.
As bright as these insects and plants were, as pretty as they could be, or as discreet and silent as they had to become, all of them were... Devoid of any actual... 'Mind'. Feelings. Emotions. ... Colors. All of them were colorless. Tasteless. They were all made of matter, and all had a breath of energy, of magic, to function, it should have also helped them feel. This lack was quite literally a bugging issue, one that pushed seeking Emotions into seeking another form of Life, into seeking another way of thinking about oneself as an Ego. Emotions forced two 'friends' to help out in this troublesome endeavor, who in their own time had made beasts and animals that held by themselves more colors than what the one seeking Emotions had been able to do, even if not 'perfect' in its eyes. The first to help out would make what would be considered a small vessel, or however 'small' was considered, a shell to hold and conserve what energy a self was given to function in any way it was envisioned to. The second one to help would temper with what energy would have been given out ever so carelessly, mixing in its own to tame it and have it distinguishingly different from any fleeting energy that was dancing wildly with no barebone of a self that would become magic residue. From all this was formed what would be known as a Soul, and alongside it, beings of consciousness, of selves.
From that point, there was not yet any balance to existence, something to make a conscience act, something for them to strive for, to flee from, to live. Thus, while it was not yet meant to know an end, three 'friends' would each tie these Souls, these existences, together, yet individually still. The first of the three would bind them down to a present, to a linear view of a Time, to grant them what it would call the gift of mortality, each being had its own Time and everyone would be tied to an end. The second of the three was less concerned about anything close to 'gifting', and neither was the third in fact, the both of them would... they would make sure for all to have a Fate to them, and all would be decided without favor, to make it so no action would ever go unnoticed, as insignificant as it could be. Whether the lives were to think of what could be considered pure luck as unfair, the threads of Fates and mortality of Life would not be opposed nor questioned by others.
And before the first Soul could die, a balance would be forged within this World, for all life that would reach an end, an Afterlife would be open to greet them. A reality twin to the very world that has been built, one that was the same yet different, overlayed one over the other for Lost Souls, Tainted or Untainted, to wander into, look over their loved ones, or relieve their sadness and anger until they feel ready to start a new life, to be cleansed of their past lives and be reborn anew, a new start that, if not toyed or touched, would be impossible for one to predict, at least for any of a linear vision. A balance to avoid the need to waste what had been made because of the imposed mortality. But even though this was all agreed upon, a Light could not help but pity at the sight of any powerless being who wished to help and save anyone close to their heart... Bringing it to grant some who could find it in their Souls, the possibility to change, alter, or go against Fate, even if by a hair, sometimes that was all one needed to have Hope and succeed.
Not just one however would 'play' with the balances, as for any Light would be a Darkness, and a rather playful one. It would not limit itself to one thing but slither in any and all cavity of any law and balance. To create exceptions, to fabricate uncertainties, to produce waves of catastrophes as much as sickening peace, to give the possibility of desires, for the price of an action heavier than anything given, for even Fate to be tangled and veils to get thinner. Some did not oppose such actions at all, in fact, some were in favor of such things, for outcomes to become even more entertaining, such as Fate. But a balance was still needed even for such an inconsistent force, another would be just as inconsistent while holding law and order as a base, Justice was only meant to hold balance and judge what would disturb any balance whether for a 'good' or a 'bad', it was not meant however to be 'fair'... Never is fairness to be something of meaning.
Before a single star had been formed to shine at the start of a cycle, there was nothing to be considered alive, not even a concept of a space, a time, or even an emptiness, nothing could not be considered nor could anything be. Not until something decided on a single point, somewhere in-between 'nothing' within the sea of Worlds, just a single point, no different from a dot, to expend it, stretch it, fill it with emptiness, with something that was nothing, and have it hold the possibility of infinity. From then, while a complete darkness of nothingness, there was still something, and it was the Possibility within the Darkness.
The Possibility of a Universe now open, came in a Space that, while cold on the outside, was filled with the warmth of an undying star. It was the first thing that saw the possibility of anything within what it would consider a 'blank canvas', the first to dance with open arms in excitement, and from its fingertips it would start to create clouds of cosmic dust and gas, not meant to last but to collapse to create and shape stars, to bring within this Darkness a light. Stars, dwarves and giants, from the 'coldest' of blues to the 'warmest' of reds, nebulae, black holes, and ultimately galaxies, while these lights were not everywhere on this infinity, there was enough for it to feel less empty.
But stars as beautiful as they were were no living, too rough, wild, yet still and linear. But these little lights were enough to bring into some, sparks of ideas. Another would use the very dust that made up stars to create something more solid, more compact, more tamed, planets. Some were in the middle of where there were little to no stars, others close to these burning lights, a different arrangement that seemed to work more or less each in its own ways, giving out some icey lands, some other similar to these burning stars yet still compact enough to be a planet, even trying to see how big one could be, how small, how gaseous, how dense, to play with any parameter there was to get different sorts of Lands. All these had started to entertain some a little more.
Now with even more choices at hand, one of these Lands was used as a point of focus to start making more lively creations. A Land that was barren and lifeless despite being made from the same dust of the stars would first be partially covered with water to make up the Depths of the oceans and seas, then covered with the green of plants whether on Land or underwater, be it flowers or shrubs, trees or creepers, herbs or climbers. After all of that, the first kind of moving creations be made to help what has already been created to keep on existing without external help's need, to be preyed on while they in turn preyed as well, these things were insects, some flying, others crawling, a few jumping. Some intelligence to them, or more so natural instincts and drive... They could not bear much thought, and while some could work together, that was all it was, there was no... drive. Not like how They are...
These moments when you regret your lack of thinking, like when you push the "Do not save" button when closing your drawing software instead of the "Save" next to it ✨
I'm just gonna info dump again about the Gods while I debate in what order I should be presenting the world or actually what I should give and what would be useless to say, like now.

The Vessels for the Game
Players are beings chosen by the Primal Gods to 'become' them. "A living among their own creations" is how players were described to be chosen in the General Information. While it is said that the Gods choose a living among their own creations, some of the Gods had their hands in more than one race, meaning that some Gods could have similar players without knowing it.
The very first players have the choice to refuse to become a player. If however they accept, they become the God's 'ward', or better to say a 'part of them'.
The game's goal will not be much explained, but I'll just roll the rules in here because info dump and why not.
-
Gods must choose a replacement in advance of their current player's death otherwise their Fate is sealed alongside the player's.
-
The Gods can only choose one replacement at a time and are subject to an unknown amount of time waiting where they won't be able to choose a 'Save Boat'.
-
The Gods must be careful in their choice. If they choose and their players are still alive, they will still be forced to switch to that new player within a day to a week.
-
Once a a God has changed player, the previous player is 'as good as dead'.
-
Player and God are like partners, and one must have the other's consent when it comes to certain decision that could affect them both.
-
Gods can be 'omnipresent' with their players, players in turn can call for their God's help.
-
It is possible to obstruct a God's view from its Player if a player is within another God/Player's 'territory'.
-
One can make another Team's territory their own through different means depending on the territories' laws.
-
Players cannot die from anything else than other players or Gods.
-
When dying from something that is not another player, the player will turn back time a day prior their death.
-
When going back in time, unless chosen alongside their God, memories of time happening in the Erased Time from the player who died, will be shared to all other players.
-
Other players will also remember their times within the Erased Time.
-
A player would be able to tell whether another is or isn't a player,
especially at the brink of death. -
Gods cannot directly act against one another.
-
Just like the first players, anyone being asked to become a player can refuse as well.
The game starts the moment one God has chosen its Ward.
No game without a set of rules for fair-play :3
Rules are meant to be broken...
Another info dump down the road o7
A very short presentation about Deities
As said in the General Information, Deities are beings that have acquired a 'divine' status, quality, or nature; they are, in the majority of cases, worshipped as a divinity, or the Avatar of a God, and are believed to be immortal.
While Deities aren't the same as Gods, they are oftentime what people actually worship or call for instead of the actual Gods.
Deities unlike Gods are created within the world, however. They can have different origins, the most common occurrences being :
-
Apo-allous : An accumulation of faith from people's beliefs about a specific or common idea. These are fragile deities who are linked to a specific location consequently, their range of action and possibilities are frequently more limited than most Deities
== [As an example, if we were to see it from our actual world, it would be something like Santa Klaus, so many people (or children) believe that there is an entity who will go to any living that deserves it to offer them a gift one day every year, that, as a consequence, it becomes real by itself.] == -
Dektis : Not born from faith, they were already existing physically. They create a belief or a myth through their actions. Some may end up feeding on the 'faith' people have about them, often ending up forming a give-and-take relationship with said 'believers', whether consciously or not. Some in this category can be very weak and just stronger than regular people.
== [This can include urban legends and cryptids, and oftentimes where cults are born.] == -
Ektelestis : These are people that were chosen by Gods and/or, oftentime the (Lesser) Gods. Some treated as the interpreter of a God, and others worshipped as one. There is a question of affinity needed here for the option to be considered, but when one is alike a God, the God will in the majority of cases reach out to the being and ask to become 'a part of them'. The God can manifest through the Avatar, and lend the Avatar help and power, what is asked of the Avatar solely depends on the God, they could be asking for nothing but to travel around the world, or maybe to speak the God's religion, some may be more specific to collect certain things of their fancy, the most unlucky often just become pets as some God may not even consider the affinity part and ask out of a whim.
== [Ektelestis are mostly composed of bishops, royalties, or heads of countries that are centered around the belief.] ==
Deities are the messier of all the categories. They are also the closest to 'mortals', believed to be immortals because of the sole fact of what looks like eternal youth. It is however actually unknown whether they are immortals.
Due to its ambiguous... 'rules' created by people's speculations, this category is hardly identifiable, and in fact, often being taken for Gods and worshipped in their stead (especially for the least known ones), or with the most ignorant people.
Gods don't care much about this as long as the world goes well (and respect to their name..s)
