lastair Ferret is not really affiliated with any other major character in The Adventures of an Evil Minion, in that he doesn't belong to Prof. Blackheart's organization, nor does he fight for good, but he is something of a villain.
(He is friends with Randy, actually, but only in his normal form.)
Alastair normally is a short, cowardly, doormat of a guy who is even MORE timid than Randy, due to many years of emotional abuse from his mean stepmother (yes, his mean stepmother), bullying in school, and always seeming to wind up with bossy, dominating girlfriends.
In the tradition of classic werewolf films and Jekyll and Hyde, Alastair discovers a flashy, brightly-colored '40s-style suit buried amongst the other old clothes in a thrift store and purchases it without knowing why he finds it so alluring. During the night, the suit transforms him into the person he wants to be: tall, fit, slick, charming, cool, and without inhibition.
He does what anybody in this situation would do: explore the city night life and indulge in some debauchery to paint the town red. He finds he can get women to do what he wants, and can make everyone laugh at his jokes.
The suit also grants him the power to use toon physics to his every advantage, similarly to The Mask, Judge Doom (aka Baron von Rotten), The Dodo Bird from the Looney Tunes short Porky in Wackyland, Alvin under the influence of a magic potion in Alvin & The Chipmunks meet Frankenstein, Sammy Ferret in the The Real Ghostbusters episode "Stay Tooned", and Babs Bunny's disembodied funny side in the Tiny Toons episode "Senserely Yours, Babs".
The only downside to all of this (besides the state of his soul) is he also develops an extremely short temper and an easily-bruised ego. So when things don't go his way and people are laughing at him instead of with him, he turns into the monster seen on the right and becomes violent, causing destruction and mayhem.
It is this form that gives him the moniker "The Toon Terror", but no one knows who he really is, because he returns to his normal state by sunrise with only a hazy memory of what he did during the night.
