completed a randomizer nuzlocke in emerald, started pissing around just for the fun of it. completed the dex (i cheated lol) and now i’m trying to get all the art museum contest paintings

i could probably name every pokemon in this gen and it’d be apt. i like every starter line, plusle & minun, delcatty, the aron line, flygon, crawdaunt, the eon duo…

chimchar line and shinx line for sure. have a big soft spot for giratina and i loooove shaymin

snivy, zorua/zoroark, whimsicott, deerling, reshiram and keldeo all come to mind

First Shiny? (If Any)

plusle in pokemon y. it was a kinda sorta random encounter kinda sorta hunt? i used horde encounters to try and spawn a female plusle (the only way to encounter plusle in y) and the first one i found happened to be shiny, i wasn’t explicitly hunting it though

Favorite Shiny?

hard choice but i love shiny whimsicott, the whole shinx line, zorua, vaporeon, flygon, mew… im sure i could think of a million others if i tried. there are a lot of good shinies

Least Favorite Shiny?

i don’t have any one specific honestly but i greatly dislike the genre of shiny that’s just almost-same-colors-but-barely-hue-shifted, like garcgomp or gengar. also HATE that modern shinies (i believe this started in gen 6 or 7?) keep a lot of their colors from the non shiny designs!!! ITS LAZY! older gen shinies changed every single color. even if a shiny kept a “main” color, it’d be adjusted ever so slightly. it sucks ass they don’t do that anymore and it’s worse that it’s EVERY new pokemon

my answer would just depend on the specifics… i mostly play the older games. i still end up buying new releases when they drop but its a chore to finish them (still at the midway point in violet). i collect cards but not as much as other types of merchandise, and i’m picky. i could only see myself sitting down to watch the anime if it was anything pre-unova (unova anime was HORRENDOUS and i never touched it again after this). the manga has some serious bangers but there’s like … soooo much pokemon manga, and most of them are sadly one-offs. if you wanted to get into it I’d suggest the pokemon adventures line

yes! pokemon is one of the main things i collect. i seek out different things depending on my mood. i have lots of plush, cards, figures, pins… a modest collection of christmas ornaments. kind of everything lol

i’ve been making pokemon characters since i was a kid because it was so fun to imagine myself in that world. i don’t use all of them anymore, but i still have a fair few on my toyhouse!
