boilin' in the juh
GENERAL
- I have the right to decline your commission for any reason.
- I currently do not offer NSFW work and will decline your request if it is sexual in nature. Suggestive themes are allowed, but subject to discretion.
- I primarily take commissions through VGen, which uses PayPal as a payment method. This is to ensure security on both ends, as it protects me from chargebacks and protects you from being scammed!
- If for some reason you do not want to use VGen, feel free to contact me on one of my other platforms (Sheezy, DeviantArt or Discord preferred) and we can do payment directly through PayPal.
PAYMENTS
- I will only begin working on a commission once I've received payment.
- I am willing to take half upfront and half after completion for larger commissions (£100+) if you are uncomfortable paying in full upfront.
- Tips are greatly appreciated, but not required!
REVISIONS
- Once the sketch has been completed, I will send it to you for any revisions to be made – the same will be done again for the lineart (if applicable).
- I will edit the sketch and lineart as many times as necessary for free.
- Once the piece is complete, any edits (e.g. change in pose, expression, lighting, etc.) will range in price depending on complexity.
- Genuine mistakes will be fixed for free, no matter how many there are or how far along in the process I am.
DELIVERY & COMMUNICATION
- You will receive a watermarked and unwatermarked version of your commission. It is greatly preferred that you share only the watermarked version publicly.
- Commissions will be completed in the order in which I am inspired to do so, NOT first-come-first-served. This is to ensure that I create a product that is satisfactory for everyone involved.
- Commissions without an agreed deadline may take upwards of 2 months (after receiving payment) to complete, depending on my living circumstances. This may increase as more of my time is taken up by work & university.
- I will keep in contact as regularly as possible to give updates on progress. My standard for communication is an update after every drawing session, or every stage in the process (i.e. sketch, lines, colour, shading, rendering).
- If I have been quiet for a while feel free to reach out, but please do not try to rush me if I am not nearing the deadline.
USE
- As the commissioner, you have the right to use the finished piece (and any work-in-progress images I send you) in any way, given it is NOT for commercial use (unless agreed upon during the request). For example: you can upload my work to Toyhouse/ArtFight, use it as your icon, etc.
- If you wish to use my artwork for commercial use (merch, stickers, charms etc.) please state it in your request, and we can work out specifics.
- You may NOT claim my work as your own, or share the unwatermarked version of your commission without crediting me in the description.
- Under no circumstances are you permitted to create an NFT or any form of cryptocurrency from my work.
INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY RIGHTS
- I reserve the right to post and share the watermarked version of the finished product on my social media, as well as include it in my portfolio.
- Unless stated otherwise in the request form, I have the right to stream and share the creation process of the commission, be it publicly or privately.
REFUNDS
- I will no longer issue refunds after the sketch has been approved and the lining/painting process has begun. If you need a refund, please contact me before the sketch has been completed.
- Unauthorised chargebacks will result in an instant blacklist.
Stolen from @Villiedoom!
This looked fun and I wanted something to do without having to use too much of my brain :P
Inspiration to become an artist + Motivation to keep drawing:
I'm not sure I had a main inspiration to start, really, I've just been drawing since I could pick up a pencil. I've always been super arty and so is my mum! She does abstract art, though, which I'm not very good at :P
What influenced your artstyle?:
Pretty much everything I've ever been into has had some sort of lasting influence. Warrior cats artists on DeviantArt, animation YouTubers, anime, certain artists on Twitter, you name it! At the moment, though, I can't think of an influence to point to for my current main art style other than the colours used in Season 2 of Fargo. I also took a lot of inspiration from Into/Across the Spiderverse mainly in the use of neons.
Artstyle idol:
Cate Wurtz, without a doubt. I adore her work and it's had a huge influence on my furry art style, particularly in my vent art.
Preferred medium:
Digital, I'm definitely not as good at traditional as much as I've tried. I've never been great at physical crafts; my hands don't like to cooperate T__T
Favorite tools/programs:
Clip Studio Paint. Though I sometimes use Krita for animation (for now, until I can afford CSP EX).
Mediums you want to try:
I've dabbled in watercolour and gouache before, but I'd like to try them out again. It's been a loooong time.
Most favorite thing to draw:
Pretty men! But more specifically I like drawing little details like body hair, teeth, skin folds, that kind of thing.
Least favorite thing to draw:
Joints, especially in the lower half of the body (in humans). I suck so bad at legs because I can never get them to bend naturally!! Especially ankles!!! Hell on Earth istg.
Preferred background noise:
Either music relating to the thing I'm drawing (OC playlists are a fav) or YouTube video essays.
Self taught or art classes?:
Entirely self taught. I took art for GCSE but I didn't learn anything substantial that helped me improve.
Construction lines or just draw it?:
Depends on the day really, sometimes I don't really need them. If I'm struggling though I'm not afraid to go crazy lol.
References or pure imagination?:
Both, but I usually only use references if one catches my eye or if I'm having trouble with an angle. I like to use my own hands as references sometimes, that can be super helpful.
OC you draw the most:
Used to be Dmitri, but now it's probably Lonnie.
Media character you draw the most:
Rye Gerhardt from Fargo season 2! I draw that man so much I have an entire side persona dedicated to art from that fandom :P
Drawing you're most proud of:
"Eye See You" from Goretober 2023. I'm really proud of the background, lighting and pose! It's also a really meaningful piece to me. I love it a lot.
Now that I'm done the tiredness has hit me so I'm gonna go pass out now. Little life update before I go, though: I got the part in one of the plays I auditioned for, and I managed to submit my big film essay on time! Really looking forward to starting work on the production in May.
