boilin' in the juh
Hi! Hello! I'm still alive!
So I've been gone for a hot minute for a few reasons, one of which being that my backlog is so long that the idea of posting it all kind of stresses me out. But I've realised that it's only gonna get longer, so I should probably get to it sooner rather than later :P
So expect some ArtFight spam from me over the next couple of days! I didn't do a huge amount this year because Highly Irregular Fargo Week rolled back around and I was focusing all of my energy on that for a while... and then got super burnt out LOL.
If you're at all interested in the FX series Fargo, or not and you just want something to read, you can find my fics I've been writing lately here -> last month I posted one multi-chapter fic (still ongoing) and one standalone oneshot.
Here's a little sample to tempt you (:
The Faddas seemed to see this arrangement as temporary. Not like Liev Moskowitz, whose face he could hardly remember now, but who looked at him like he were his own son, with eyes that spoke of forever.
Truthfully, how could he blame them? For it was his own fault that the Moskowitzes were but history to this town, now.
He remembered it so clearly – just a child, cornered in a back-alley on his way home, arms full of groceries in a paper bag far too big for him like the hat atop his head. He remembered the stench of his father’s breath as he talked, instructed him on how, where, when to let them in. He couldn’t smell it anymore – for that he was grateful – but the one scent that lingered was the blood that clung to his hands.
As he looked around at the eyes of his new family, he wondered in their lack of warmth if they could smell it, too.
Lord give me the strength to finish the last few chapters ARGHHH!!! The fandom has gone back to being mostly dead since the fic week ended so my lack of readership has kind of killed my motivation... BUT IT IS OK I SHALL PREVAIL!! I write for me and the 2 people who still care abt this silly little show
Also, here's a small life update: I went to Dublin ComicCon on Saturday, so if you were there we might have made awkward 0.2 second eye contact across the hall or something. Huge if true. Hello (:
BUT ANYWAY I hope everyone is doing well and had a fantastic ArtFight, and I hope I will be able to force myself to stay active on here because I really do miss the Sheezy community even though I don't interact with everyone as much as I'd like qwq
