i wont go philosophical here. i just want to share my opinion. however i do defend it a bit.

in a scale of ai art, i am anti-art, but i believe there are positives. let me explain what i mean.

i believe ai art can be great for inspiration and getting a very first concept for a character you have trouble coming up for an appearance. emphasis on very first, like the method should be (ai image-first draft-additionary drafts, final product). however, it should be used only for when you have tried many other options but dont have a full concept yet. and even then, you should combine the ai inspiration with non-ai sources. i believe the amount of non-ai/ai inspo should be >50/<50.

aditionally, it could help disabled artists with trying to make art. i know an artist who uses ai art for a guide because he has poor vision due to a bb in one of his eyes, so he uses ai to help him get an idea of what his art looks like. although other things can be useful, we should give ai art a chance for some scenarios.

however, i agree that it steals art from many other artists, which sux. also, ai art is super limited to only around 10 artstyles. perchance does go a bit better including retro anime, perchance is not a major ai art generator, which may be the reason. ai art also is limited a lot to the appearance of it, especially with anime peoples. also regarding text, it is almost always fucked up, except with those strange ai posters. if you want to use ai art, just cover up the bad text and replace it with regular text.

ik a lot more other reasons why ai art isnt good, but i wont go over it since i heard it a lot.
