Grem - Art Train 11/18 by @junijwi
the lines on this are so fun... love the style of the eyes, and the fold line under the eyes really adds something... also the detail in the hands O_O!!!! really well defined!

i want to live in one of this artist's pics tbh. really fun creature design and use of color to accentuate the piece. so vivid and fun and full of life <3

i love the flow of this piece !! the colors are stellar too. this character's outfit fuckin rocks and i love the textured shading so much. the white outline rly makes the piece pop!

theres comfort in the bottom of a swimming pool by @rhundax
god the watercolor fits this so well. the rough look of the pencil (and pen?) really helps capture or convey the like. raw feeling it's trying to represent. tbh thought the red was blood at first. love how gritty and nostalgic it feels.

if theres one thing i love in pictures and images, it's FORM!!! and this thing has such good form flow and edges and general composition. very striking/defining posing/lining. love it

Our House is a Very Very Very Fine House by @lutzbug
i love how like dark and grungy and early-2000s cartoon style it looks. definitely reminds me of one of those cartoons you watch as a kid that, like, is much darker looking back, and you dont fully appreciate it til youre like 20. lmao. the texture on the colors is rockin
that's all for dis week!!! stay tuned for next week's installation!
third verse, same as the first! been a bit busy lately so i had to scramble to find a few more artworks to fill this out, but i hope you all enjoy all the same :) and rytoonist said i can embed thumbnails in here by doing [url] (thumbnail) or [[url]] (full image) in the code editor (not visual editor), if anyone else was wondering!

these glasses dont help my eyesight at all by @hj7
i featured this artist last time, but i think that's not reason enough to not feature them again :] excellent chaotic composition mixed with really excellent contrast between the two views (i.e., the view in the glasses and the view outside of them). feels very surreal, kind of reminiscent of some sort of horror movie - i really like the color choice here!

the lineless style here is so clean and nifty! love the efficient use of stripes and the little tufts of fur on the elbows. so shaped. and the little ears. omg. good work

Wormmon by @Meowth
honestly can't get over the subtle use of gradient here - and the highlights do a great job of accentuating the lighting in a non obtrusive and stylish way!

[C] - Mallow by @patako
i think this style is really poppin - the line width is really nice, i think especially where it thins out and where the edges are accentuated with thicker corners! i think it captures the personality of the character really well too :]

Golden Fox Skull by @mocarro
honestly how anyone is sleeping on this one is beyond me. really awesome detail. i always love seeing detailed, somewhat larger pixel art (usually i see pixel art that's like, 100x100 or smaller), it's very refreshing! i think the dithering is especially nice and doesn't draw too much attention :]

Endrika_1 by @hypligdrika
the scribbly pixel style here is so so fun. i like the use of white outlines to make things stand out! the color scheme of the character is very pretty too :] i really like the variance in line width too!

dibble by @screamingatmice
i dont see dino ocs often!! i think triceratops are definitely one of my top faves... i like the way the markings are shaped, very organic and fun looking. also candy corn horns :D great shape definition!

pointless point by @frimpordy
featured this artist before but i think you should really look at its stuff! really dynamic use of color and line (and lines of color) that give me the illusion of movement in the piece. really great color choices (very unified!) and all around has a great chaotic energy to it - i'm so here for it!

[C] HewwoSol by @deerfangs
honestly i'm really astounded at the amount of paint3d work ive seen on here - definitely a fun tinkering tool for people who are new to 3d modeling and want to dabble in it a little. this artist does a great job stylizing in a 3d space - almost deceptively 3d, because at a glance you wouldn't quite be able to tell it was 3d! absolutely love the color use and body shape :D
and that's all for this week! please remember to leave some likes and comments on the pieces here, especially if you were featured yourself :D spread the love! and take it easy!
people seemed to like the last one, so here's number 2! my feature friday journals are for artists i think are underappreciated and deserve some views - please give them a look! (my usual criteria is having lower than 15-or-so faves on any given art, generally, but i am pretty lax about this.)
eta 11/12/21: thumbnails! woo!

really excellent use of color and shape, i love the perspective on this piece especially. this artist is really good with surreal, vivid artwork, almost like some sort of fever dream...

Kipper Doodles by @milk-ism
this artist has some really charming art that often reminds me of richard scarry's work! really great use of rounded lines to convey form - and very much has a storybook quality!

2332 by @hj7
beautiful composition work, in this piece and in their other works! their colors are very warm and vintage, or a little grungy at times - which really accentuates the sort of subjects they draw!

back336b by @cherrysnakecat
and where would we be without at least one 3d spotlight,,, all-around gorgeous colors, i've always wanted to learn about how to get this sort of look in my 3d stuff! in general the artist has a really good sense for gorgeous scenery and color choices. their character design is also really top notch!

a foreboding trail by @hev
i don't really dabble in closed species anymore - but even if you don't, this piece is really great on its own! really impactful and powerful composition with gorgeous colors. the clouds are my favorite part, i think - they're roughly rendered in a way that's really charming and visually pleasing.
The Alchemist by @suzidragonlady
i gotta say, wow! this artist is really excellent with defining values. nice warm hues, and the glass rendering is absolutely stellar. i think it'd be fun to learn more about the world these owls are living in (as there's at least one other piece in the artist's gallery that is in the same vein)! really enchanting.

Candid Shot by @tricksterwish
the rendering on this is really soft and pleasing to the eye - the way the characters are lined really lends itself to guiding the eye across the artwork. also had to shout this one out cuz the foreground character makes me very happy to see as someone who is fat as well <3 really love this artist's character design too, especially the design of the green/teal one here!
and i think that's all for this feature friday! i like to bookmark things for potential feature so if you see me fave your piece, Watch Out...........
anyway peace out!
