Age Verification is going to be necessary for anyone to view or post Explicit rated content on Sheezy starting from July 25th 2025.

Clarification -
This only applies to the Explicit rating. General and Mature ratings will still be fully accessible without age verification. You will always be able to access your own content, regardless of rating.

We've heard your feedback regarding this issue, and we agree with you!
This sucks, and it will not solve the fundamental problem of young people being able to access harmful content online.

That said, this is law and - as I mentioned in my recent Blog post - it's not unique to the UK.

Our hands are very much tied in this situation, and we are not alone. You will likely see more and more websites and services introduce age verification as time goes on until eventually it will become the norm, unless something changes.

Petition -

Privacy is a huge focus for me, and has been since day one of Sheezy's development. We will be using Stripe's Identity service as I have worked with Stripe extensively in the past and I trust them.

Starting from July 25th, you will see a purple "Verify" button in your Maturity Settings panel when attempting to switch your maturity level to Explicit. The process is extremely simple - you are taken to Stripe, whereby you upload or take a photo of an ID card or other official document, they confirm whether the document is legitimate, and then you are brought back to Sheezy. You can read more about their privacy policies here.

The only information we keep is a Yes/No toggle - whether you are 18 or over. If you are under 18, the verification will fail and you will not be able to access Explicit content. If you are 18 or over, the Consent checkbox will appear like normal and you will be able to switch freely between maturity ratings.

We are also required by law to accept manual verification, whereby you can email us directly at contact@sheezy.art with an identifying document and our Admins can manually verify your age. Do bear in mind, however, that this process can take days, if not weeks.

I am actively looking into better, safer means of age verification as part of The Rebuild.

To be clear, I do not disagree with the sentiment behind this law. Ensuring the safety of young people is extremely important, and there is a great deal of content on the internet that children should simply not have access to. You wouldn't expect your local grocery store to sell cigarettes or alcohol to a child - so I can certainly see the reasoning behind age verification in regards to potentially harmful content.

Perhaps it could have been handled better. Perhaps browser and device manufacturers could have shipped a software update that uses on-device information or hardware to inform websites and services as to whether the person holding the phone is 18 or over. The technology definitely exists. But, alas, we are where we are.

I fully understand how frustrating this is. We hear you, and we stand with you.
But the law is the law and, as I said in my last blog post, I don't want to get arrested. I can't work on Sheezy from prison.

Hey guys! Just dropping by to inform you of a small update we recently made to the site's Terms & Conditions.

The new clause sits under the Access Rights heading:

Use of this website, its code and any content therein, whether it be user generated content or website assets, may not be used or ingested for the purposes of training large language models, image generation models, artificial intelligence, or any form of content generation software. Scraping is explicitly prohibited and may result in legal action on behalf of Sheezy.Art or its members.

While Sheezy.Art has always explicitly prohibited the use of AI on site, the language was not explicitly clear regarding scraping and MLM ingestion. The following excerpt currently sits under the Content Restrictions heading and has not changed:

Content created through the use of services such as Doll Divine, Hero Forge, Picrew, or created with generative AI, for example using data sets such as ArtBreeder, ChatGPT, CrAIyon, Dall-e etc. are not permitted on Sheezy.Art. Content found to be generated using such tools will be removed, and its author(s) found subject to further moderation and potential site restriction at administrative or moderator discretion.

Combining these two clauses will hopefully send a clear message that content uploaded to Sheezy.Art may not be used for or generated by AI or content generation software.

We always like to keep an ear to the ground, so please let us know in the comments if you feel there is anything we could clarify further!

Hey Sheezy people!

We've been absolutely blown away by all the incredible artwork you've been posting, as well as the wonderful feedback you've been giving us - we listen to every word and it really does mean the world to us!

We've also noticed a growing number of complaints regarding how difficult it is to grab a registration slot when they do come around. We hear you!

So we wanted to make sure our position is clear;

• This is a passion project built and maintained by one person
• Our incredible team is comprised entirely of volunteers, many of whom have families, full-time jobs or classes to attend
• This site is only 6 months old! We are still brand new and growing

And probably most importantly - We are still in Beta! As noted by the lil 'Beta' label in our site's logo. We are nowhere near ready to open the flood gates yet. There are many bugs to fix and many optimisations to make before we can handle the masses.

Also, due to the fact that our small team does in fact moderate every piece of content manually, limiting registrations to a slow trickle is, unfortunately, a necessary evil. As said, we are still brand new! We're actively working on ways to make the moderation process more efficient.

Of course you can always skip the wait by Subscribing or Donating, but you are by no means obligated or required to do that. As well as 10 registration slots opening every 8 hours, we also give away 10 subscriptions (usually more if Ry is feeling silly) during our Sheezy Stream every Friday, and a VIP, Pro and Basic Subscription for the winner and runners-up of our monthly art competitions on Discord!

We'd like to kindly ask for your patience while we continue to grow and evolve to fit the needs of the community.

Yes, it will take time. But it will be worth the wait! We promise!

Howdy everyone!

We've had a bunch of questions about subscription gifting recently, which is extremely nice! You're all so generous! 🥹

Following community feedback, we've spruced up the My Subscription page a bit.

If you're gifting a subscription to someone that doesn't have an account - you can now simply enter their email address in the 'Gift Subscription' dialog that comes up when you click 'Gift' next to one of your subscriptions.

Once you've confirmed that you want to send your invite link - the subscription will bundle itself up with a new invite code and the site will send it off to the email address you entered. Then, all your buddy has to do is click the link and sign up!

The subscription will be automatically assigned to their account and Sheemz will sleep a little bit easier.
