Hey Sheezy people!
We've been absolutely blown away by all the incredible artwork you've been posting, as well as the wonderful feedback you've been giving us - we listen to every word and it really does mean the world to us!
We've also noticed a growing number of complaints regarding how difficult it is to grab a registration slot when they do come around. We hear you!
So we wanted to make sure our position is clear;
- This is a passion project built and maintained by one person
- Our incredible team is comprised entirely of volunteers, many of whom have families, full-time jobs or classes to attend
- This site is only 6 months old! We are still brand new and growing
And probably most importantly - We are still in Beta! As noted by the lil 'Beta' label in our site's logo. We are nowhere near ready to open the flood gates yet. There are many bugs to fix and many optimisations to make before we can handle the masses.
Also, due to the fact that our small team does in fact moderate every piece of content manually, limiting registrations to a slow trickle is, unfortunately, a necessary evil. As said, we are still brand new! We're actively working on ways to make the moderation process more efficient.
Of course you can always skip the wait by Subscribing or Donating, but you are by no means obligated or required to do that. As well as 10 registration slots opening every 8 hours, we also give away 10 subscriptions (usually more if Ry is feeling silly) during our Sheezy Stream every Friday, and a VIP, Pro and Basic Subscription for the winner and runners-up of our monthly art competitions on Discord!
We'd like to kindly ask for your patience while we continue to grow and evolve to fit the needs of the community.
Yes, it will take time. But it will be worth the wait! We promise!
Much love, and take it Sheezy!
Honestly for $3 to throw at registration to reserve your spot early it's not bad either, I think. I sincerely love that you went with more of an oldschool decluttered but customizable layout, instead of following the herd on the wall to wall image style every other site seems to be moving to (which at least for my brand of ADHD is so rough on my attention). For a one-person build this is an incredible achievement. Thanks for giving us all a soft spot to land.
This has been an incredibly wonderful place to be and I'm so happy to be here. And I'm glad y'all are taking the slow approach to make sure the site lasts for the longterm <3 Very exciting to see where things go in the future!!
Hello! This is my first time joining Sheezyart (thanks to those on Twitter letting me know Sheezyart was back! I only heard of it after the original site shut down) and the site looks amazing so far. For such a small team you guys are doing fantastic.
(Oh my god, there's even a tone indicator feature. You guys thought of everything).
Just letting you know, if you ever add a group feature, I will never leave this site ever LMFAO. Is there any sort of roadmap or features planned list? If it's even planned, that'd be amazing. Take your time, of course! I just would love to see it, it'd instantly make this site my #1 site to post art, cuz that's genuinely the only thing that's missing in my opinion that I would even notice. Everything looks fantastic, major props. Can't wait to post here.

We don't have a public list just yet as we're focussing on stability before adding too many shiny new features. But as soon as it's available, we'll make a news post to let everyone know!
That said, 'Collections' is what we're calling Folders - that's planned - or, if you meant groups as in 'Forums' - that is also planned but won't be added this year. Forums are slated for 2025, ideally when our team is large enough to handle the extra moderation required!
(Small addition to my other comment- group feeds would look probably very similar to the create a feed option, just, permanent (unless you leave), and with their own dedicated page!)

Very exciting to hear, thank you so much!
I mean moreso, groups as in what sites like Deviantart (and a few others!) have/had- such as, a customizable page (*customizability may be a premium feature?) where people with a shared interests can share art. Such as a Furry group, for furry art, or an Adoptable group, for those who want to buy/sell adoptables, or a Pokemon group, for those who like Pokemon and Pokemon art. I've seen it used for roleplay groups as well! (and just about anything else under the sun)
Joining groups makes it easier to find content related to what you like, as it would likely go right into your feed (*if you choose that setting, maybe) instead of searching for it specifically. (Which is especially helpful for niche groups who may not have people frequently using that tag every day, etc). This idea of groups would preferably have their own folders as well for easier sorting, and the ability to set individuals as moderators of this group. The ability for the moderators of this group to upload journals updates for the group as a whole, or something similar, would be amazing as well.
It's definitely a feature that would take awhile to implement- but I think it would be a fantastic addition to consider in the future, especially when collections and forums are added, as both of those are basically building blocks to what an art group is!
Hopefully that makes sense. I'm happy to provide mock-ups or ideas if wanted! (/no pressure, just excited to explain)
It's the feature I miss the most from old DeviantArt, but I refuse to go back to that site haha. (And other art sites with this feature I didn't vibe with personally for completely unrelated reasons), so it'd be super cool if this site could have it, one day! I'd pretty much live on this site if that were the case haha, I prefer it a lot over searching or scrolling (searching can miss out on niche interests that only get infrequent posts, scrolling is a muscle memory trap that makes me lose hours of my day staring, oops) and I love the potential customizability and community art groups can create.
Thanks for hearing me out! Sorry for long post!

<___< Six months? But my account is two years old????
Hmm is there like a to-do list? One thing I'm anticipating is if there will ever be an art site that does comic book/sequential submissions right besides Inkbunny and Pixiv.
I tried sending an e-mail but it says "Sending of the message failed.
An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded:
contact@sheezy.art: Recipient address rejected: User unknown in virtual mailbox table.
Please check the message recipient "contact@sheezy.art" and try again." so I found this link at bluesky and then I asked XD
Will she ever work on her comic book?
Aye, we shut down in 2022 and spent a couple years recuperating. This current version of the site was built in October 2023 and opened for public beta testing on January 1st of this year :)
Full comic support is planned, and sequential submissions will be a part of the new Collections feature which is coming soon! Currently "The List™️" is staff-only. We'll open it up for more people to view at the same time we start taking feature requests - likely at the end of 2024.
That's really strange! Do you mind me asking what email service you use?
Wow, I had no idea!
That's good, maybe it'll be ready once I re-scan and glaze the 20 years of art I've made ROFL
And I use Thunderbird along with whatever Namecheap uses.
Will she ever work on her comic book?
It just took me a few days to get the exact time it would open and I was ready for it and did not have a problem.
