As much as I'd to say Fifi wins this no diff because she's my favorite, Evan is unfortunately far to strong for her. Evan is one of the two strongest students in the school, fighting with Curt for that position, and at a magic school? That means he's better at magic.

Fifi isn't terrible, mind you. To even get into the college, you have to be really good at magic. It's like... Harvard but for magic. Still, they're on different levels. Fifi would be a top level student at any other magic college, she just got into the very best one.

She's absolutely going to give it her all though. What she lacks in raw power, where she falls behind in pure skill and control, she makes up for with grit and determination. Fifi is very stubborn. Stubborn enough that she has simply outlasted Evan on several occasions.

Will this be one of those occasions? Who's to say. Not me. I just wanted to draw a cool magic fight as practice since this comic is going to have a few cool magic fights.

Let me tell you, this is a lot better than my first attempt drawing magic. I always underestimate how much effort and how many layers go into drawing cool magic effects (without stealing them premade from a gallery somewhere)
