Discovered this random Serbian band from a town I literally visited today. As if god wanted to give me a sign after the trip back home I get on my pc and find some old flash animation for a song called "Hvala Gari" or "Thanks Garry" in English. I dig the song so I look up who wrote it. The band is called UMT or "Ujed Motorne Testere" or in English "A Bite from a Chainsaw".
I hear some of their other songs via youtube reuploads and I like it. Then I look for the full album and I can't find anything official. The album is called "Der Klassiker" which I don't know what it translates to cause my German is like my Spanish, I can count to 10 and nothing else. Then I look for any other albums by them and also find nothing. I then find some random page on Discogs. Apparently they're a band from Novi Sad who were I imagine active in the punk rock scene over there, as that city has a very active and still alive and on-going underground punk rock scene which I can attest to see bits and pieces of it. What weirds me out is they supposedly formed in 1993 and then dropped that one album mentioned before in 2002 and then just bailed from what I can tell. I only found 5 listings for people selling cd's of the album online so rn my target is to buy that, upload the audio on youtube in non poop butt quality and post it onto archive.org. Meanwhile give them a listen, even if you'd don't speak Serbian if you love third wave ska you'll love this https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLHSNNkTyZXG5EyCm_8qpRl3Arnax-hEPT
