This is a piece that I created that was a christmas gift for a relative. The creation of this piece was actually what led to the idea and creation of one of my later works "Parasite".

When I created this piece, it was the first time I had even attempted to create a bird not just after a long hiatus from art but since high school. Generally, I go for a more stylistic approach to things, however with this piece and a few others before it that were created around this time, I really wanted to challenge myself to pursue a more realistic approach as well as challenge myself to learn a new medium - acrylic paint. While there are many things about this piece that I would do drastically different now, it was extremely fun to be able to work with paint as well as attempt to work with glitter for the first time in a piece.
