With this piece, I initially wanted to create a bumble bee, and during the process, my bee accidentally became a wasp. But it ended up working for the better ultimately, because this piece ended up representing the idea of how something could mimic the idea of something friendly and with good intentions, such as a friendly little bumble bee who is ultimately just a harmless, friendly, little creature; but instead, can be a malicious, harmful, creature with ulterior motives in the disguise of something friendly such as a wasp or hornet which are known to invade the hives of other bees and even prey upon bumble bees.

This piece also has its own unique meaning to me which further shaped its concept especially since I'm someone with intense entomophobia (phobia of bugs), which presented many unique challenges while working on this piece on top of the concept taking its own meaning directly from my life.
