i wanna focus more on my Miscrits and my OCs this time, with a few of what I want to draw more as practice!
i used the blank template Alma K. Rowan provided, but as Graphic Design Is Not My Passion (/lh), i just made a simple one with my favorite shape in the world!
(and for those who want to also do this but want to do it quickly, the artist also made a sunflower-themed version for 2026!)
yes, the Miscrits squares form a diamond shape... i plan to give myself an additional treat when i complete them all :D
Heya! I said "masterpost" in the title since I wanted to include the 2025 art bingo one as well, so they can be seen in one whole journal!
2025 art summary
I made my own template in Affinity Designer 2 and featuring my favorite shape 🔶 xP

Art bingo 2025 summary
This is the second year I've done this because I find that it's a fun way to visually track my art wishlist each year! I unfortunately ended up posting only one update previously, so here's the final result!
Here's what I managed to finish (going through each row for ease of access):
- OC-centric illustration — the first one i did for the year was Welfe's cowboy outfit
- angel-themed character — Critical One in its first stage, Light Flue
- unreleased OC — the Acehands! (Aster, Linden, Flo, Rei) (more of concept sketches of their updated designs but that still counts!)
- some of my fave characters — in the June 30, 2025 update i listed Caffeinated Bones (linked in the art summary above), but I also included "Baba Has Cake! as a bonus
- Bren — his summer attire as listed in the art summary
- gLiTCH — idle gLiTCH as listed in the art summary
- (another) OC-centric illustration — Sindey, Costin, and Taniya as listed in the art summary
- Miscrits fan art — the June 30, 2025 update listed a sketch, but I'm going to also add as bonus any of the Huevember ones I did (excluding Critical One since it was already listed here haha)
- (one more) unreleased OC — i listed a WIP version of Shey before, but here's the completed version!
- horned characters — nettydraws's OC Hawthorne as listed in the art summary
- anthro characters — jetwrecked's OC Vin, a dragonborn
- Cille new official diamond outfit — the Diamond Yellow one as listed in the art summary
- some Miscrits redesigns — Ribos and its evos, as listed in the art summary. (i originally was going to use a different Miscrit for this one, but i forgot which, so i ended up with Ribos which I wanted to recreate and redesign as a proper Miscrit in the game)
- comics involving my OC(s) — a one-page comic of Lunaria, as listed in the art summary
- something fear-inducing or horror — couldn't pick between my redraw of the cover art of KUURO's song "She's Got a Gun" and "goblin win! >:]", which both feature gLiTCH
- The Diamond Fellow — i finally made a design for their Yellow version last July! it's not yet shaded though but at least i made a reference sheet for them :D
- another unreleased OC — Daye-Ann, but it's a sketch
- dinosaurs — some mini plesiosaurus version of gLiTCH (yes i KNOW plesiosaurs are technically not dinosaurs but give me a pass this time /lh)
- fat/plus-sized or chubby characters (excluding Bren and Taniya) — i actually drew two, Peepsie and Aloticus which are both Miscrits!
Sadly I ended up not making a full row, column, or diagonal I only completed one (1) full row, but that's okay! At least I got to draw some of the things I wanted to draw this year, especially Miscrits during Huevember, and that's what matters! The joy of getting to draw what I want to draw is already a reward in itself :D /positive

Moving forward in 2026
My art desires shifted during 2025, and perhaps I made some 2025 art goals too "high" by being too specific (like the "personal moments in comic form" and "comics involving my OCs"), so I'm trying to make them more attainable in my 2026 art goals! I want to make it more fun for myself by not reusing some of my unreached goals that no longer resonate with me (or are at least of a lesser priority to draw).
I'm gonna be doing the art bingo goals again in 2026!! I now have a set tangible reward this time around, maybe to help hype myself up ^^
Alma K. Rowan recently made a new template for 2026 plus a blank one that you can put your own theme in, if you wanna try it for yourself!

Lately I've been collecting Miscripedia entries of Miscrits (I will do it for all of them!) from the Internet Archive, so that I can add it to my personal Miscripedia database* and to use as reference in case I want to, well, make fanworks involving everyday life in Miscria.
I'm not yet halfway done since I've only documented the first 160 Miscrits' entries so far — I mean, we have 446 Miscrits from the original game, and 105 that are newly introduced in Miscrits Reborn as of writing this, not to mention the fact that each Miscrit has four stages/evolutions, so that's gonna be a whopping 2,204 entries! Even with that, it's easy to see even from the first 160*4 = 640 Miscripedia entries alone that much of the happenings and part of the culture and lore in Miscria (the world of Miscrits) that... well, the title of this journal.
Yes, they also document the behavior of these Miscrits (some are funny, some are wholesome, some are heartbreaking), but it's sad that so far we don't see much of those beyond these writings in the Miscripedia. Granted, it's difficult to integrate a lot of things in a single game, so I'm not complaining at all. But perhaps it would be nice to have a glimpse of even more of these culture and lore even in the overworld too...
Nevertheless it's really fun reading these entries! I'm having some ideas for some fan art already, and even some of my own headcanons as well. Maybe I'll share some of the interesting ones here in future journals, especially those where I have some of my own headcanons or funny thoughts... I just need to determine how large of intervals (by 50s? by 100s?) per Journal so that I wouldn't make things too lengthy like I guess 😅

* I made my own Miscripedia database (just a regular Sheets file, nothing fancy) for the purposes of which is forming statistics, observing trends, and learn which animals have been turned into a Miscrit and which are not yet, among others. Also collecting trivia and the artist(s) who designed them (if that information if available publicly)! I do plan to make a public version of this database someday, in case people are curious 👀
Heya! So as you've probably noticed from my gallery, my several latest art pieces are Miscrit-themed art for Huevember! (I used the original Huevember ruleset/palette for this.)
Unfortunately (and sadly), I have to announce that I won't be able to finish it anymore, because (1) it's December now, and (2) i have a loooong delay on there now that catching up would feel too much.
Regardless, I did enjoy this year's Huevember (as it's my first attempt at doing a month-long challenge)! I got to draw a handful of Miscrits (two of them are my OCs/fan characters), and at the same time I got to practice drawing some creatures and monsters! I'm really happy about it! /vpos

Lesson learned: with my current condition (aka fluctuating energy) and amount of responsibilities (mostly in uni), it seems it's not feasible for me to do a month-long challenge that requires me to draw every single day. Not to mention the other setback that was me being sick for around the first half of November (which honestly sucked).
So yeah, something to keep in mind when I get to join another challenge or create my own!

so i just discovered that the True Tone display setting in my iPad actually puts a yellowish tint on your screen???? i've had that setting ON ever since i bought this tablet! WHAT??????????
that probably explains why in my phone my arts' colors are slightly different, and why my printed stickers and merch have slightly different colors than my digital files... what...
but i guess it's best i've learned it later than never! at least i can get more color accuracy now from this point forward 😅
(also lol i can finally no longer get annoyed by my iPad changing screen brightness every time the lighting around me changes haha)
