Hi. I'm DangerMouseFan1981. I'm not really much of an artist but I do appreciate art and the hard-working people who make them. ^^

I recently heard about how Disney wants to be "less gay".
Apparently, Riley was supposed to have some LGBT elements in "Inside Out 2" but the Disney executives shut that idea down out of fear of starting another "Lightyear controversy".
And some Pixar employees have come out saying there were harsh working conditions during production of "Inside Out 2".
I know I should take this information with a grain of salt but it's really hard for me not to. I mean, I've been a Disney fan since I was a little kid. So when hear stuff like Disney trying to be "less gay" all because of a single lesbian kiss in one of their movies, it breaks my heart. π
This is why I support independent creators like VivziePop and Glitch Productions.
Fanon Discontinuity is when some fans refuse to acknowledge later installments of a show, film franchise, book series, etc.
=======
For example, I acknowledge the existence of the first four seasons of "Futurama" but I ignore the Direct-to-DVD movies, the Comedy Central seasons, and the Hulu revival. (I tried to give the Hulu revival a chance but I stopped watching after "The Prince and the Product".)
Futurama's Season 4 finale "The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings" is, in my honest opinion, the most proper way to end the series. And that final line from Leela gets me everytime it comes up.
Leela:
"Please don't stop playing, Fry. I wanna hear how it ends."
=======
I also believe the Toy Story franchise ended after the third film not because it had the perfect ending but because most of us who watched the first one way back in the 90s grew up alongside Andy and his toys. So, just continuing a beloved film franchise after such a heartwarming conclusion just doesn't feel right.
You know that feeling you get when you discover that regular people can craft a better story than any big budget Hollywood studio? I got that feeling right now.
Today, Warner Bros. released a trailer for their Minecraft film. I didn't watch the trailer (because I'm scared) but, from what I heard and saw from the screenshots, it doesn't look very good.
But just recently, I watched a trailer for an upcoming animated Minecraft fan project on YouTube called "Block by Block: The Amulet" (aka "Minecraft: Story Mode - The Remake). And from what I saw, it looks a thousand times better than WB's Minecraft movie!

"When you look at someone through rose-colored glasses, all the red flags just look like flags."
I've never watched "BoJack Horseman" but this quote really stuck with me. It also made me think that the quote could apply to other things as well. Like a movie, a TV show, a video game, or even a fictional character/couple.
