unfold_moreAlright, Pokémon Day is coming up soon, so I just wanted to give my opinions on what I think will happen, and what I'm looking forward to the most.
- Mainline games from the first 3 gens finally coming to NSO (I swear, people have been asking for them since the service started, and now would be the perfect opportunity to do it. Hell, they did it for the 3DS Virtual Console for Pokemon's 20th anniversary.)
- Gen 5 or 6 remakes (It would make sense to do Gen 6 remakes now since that's the generation they're focused on, but it would be pretty weird to skip Gen 5.)
- Gen 10 games actually being good lol. I have two main reasons why I believe this:
- Pokémon usually delivers when it comes to anniversaries. For their 20th anniversary, they had Sun and Moon, which were pretty solid games and well respected from what I've seen other fans say. For their 25th anniversary, we got Legends: Arceus, considered by many to be the best Pokémon game on the Switch, and a welcomed change of pace in the mainline series.
- Between a string of lackluster and buggy games and growing competition, I'd imagine that Pokémon is much more motivated to make a great game, especially since they're approaching such a big milestone. We'll have to see, though.
- Pokemon Champions (honestly one of the three games I'm looking forward to the most this year, alongside the new Scott Pilgrim game and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream.)
- 30th anniversary celebrations for the mobile games. I'm really hoping that we'll finally get a Gen 6 expansion in Pocket, and I'm interested in the events and rewards that'll come in Cafe Remix.
