I don't blame anyone for being critical of Nintendo or even just straight up disliking them. We shouldn't reward them or let them get away with blatant anti-consumer practices or just plain bad decisions. That being said, I don't like how mean anti-Nintendo people can be to people who do like Nintendo. Yes, Nintendo is far from perfect, but it's not hard to understand why so many people still like them. For all of their faults, Nintendo does make awesome, high-quality games and consoles that people enjoy, and things could definitely be worse considering how awful a lot of other AAA game companies have gotten in recent years. I don't think it's fair to insult or demonize people just because they like Nintendo's products.
It's especially bad on YouTube. For plenty of Youtubers, making sloppy, copy-and-paste ragebait videos talking about how evil Nintendo is or laughing at a loss they took is their bread and butter. And don't get me started on their comment sections. So many cringey comments, either completely obsessed with the idea of Nintendo fans being mad or being frothing at the mouth with glee at even the slighting bit of bad or inconvenient news for Nintendo. Anyone who says something positive about Nintendo or even just states a fact about them gets accused of "glazing" or "shilling" for them. Liking Nintendo doesn't mean you can't or won't criticize them, and you don't have to criticize Nintendo every time you talk about them either. It's totally okay to just appreciate them and talk about what you like about them.
I don't want to be seen as some loser apologist for a multibillion dollar corporation, but that's just my two cents. If you have a problem with Nintendo, take it out on them, not the people who enjoy their stuff.
For the past couple of months, I've been worried about whether or not my art is unique enough. I feel like the only thing about it that stands out is my thick lineart, but other than that, it looks generic and almost feels...soulless. I don't feel like my art has changed or improved all that much since I started out back in 2019, so I want to know what other people think. Is there anything about my art that stands out to you? What do you think I can do to make it more unique?
