my phone got hacked w all my 2fa stuff on it so this morning has been a wild goose chase of redoing literally all my passwords... and preventing this 19 year old script kiddie from buying cryptobucks with my credit card. its so so bad.
if you ever have anxiety about this stuff just knwo the best way to mitigate the worst case scenario is just freeze all your payment processes and then redo all of your passwords n logins on a device youre sure isnt compromised. its not really scary its just time consuming and a pain in the ass. especially when it comes to accts like microsoft which are famously unhelpful and will tell you that theres nothing you can do for a compromised account if the email was changed
also remember never to download strange apps paired with temu/low quality control electronics no matter how much your well meaning tech illiterate mom pressures you to. it works until it decides it doesnt and you forget about it, and then the app starts injecting malware into your phone when youre not looking. if your phone starts installing random apps like games and shit then do a factory reset no matter how much youre attached to your current files
also a reminder never to use the same password forever on all accounts you care about because if one of those accounts gets leaked then its a matter of time before some kid uses it on every single email you own
one of the things that i always found odd in various modern forums was the dislike of "necroing" threads (in which you respond/comment/reply a significant period of time after the thread "dies") bc like... its not a chatbox lol. you're allowed to reply to a weeks old post it's definitely not weird as long as the topic of discussion isn't like, time sensitive (eg current events, live discussion, etc)
maybe im just a weirdo who reads old convos and wants to throw my hat in the ring. i dont think that it's necessarily a bad thing to be late to a discussion as long as what you have to say is at least a little generative or insightful in any way
I'm a bit of a freak when it comes to organizing my art by year, especially on websites where it's possible to tag things efficiently. As you see in my gallery, most of my titles have the "[year] [tag] Title" format, in addition to the year i drew it in the tags.
The reasoning is I don't really like misrepresenting old stuff as new, even though I'm still quite confident in my old art.
Does anyone else do this or am I the weird one? Also, does anyone else have entirely different things they make sure to absolutely tag for organizational purposes?
