Hi. I'm DangerMouseFan1981. I'm not really much of an artist but I do appreciate art and the hard-working people who make them. ^^

I mean no disrespect to anyone who still enjoys "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" but I really need to get this off my chest.
(Side note: I used to like the SpongeBob movie until a conversation I had with my older brother a few years ago made me realize that the film might’ve had the same vibe as the seasons that came after it.)
Stephen Hillenburg wanted Season 3 to be SpongeBob's final season and to have the first movie serve as the series finale. The reason behind this decision was because Hillenburg wanted to avoid having his show "jump the shark".
Unfortunately, due to the success of "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie", Nickelodeon went against Hillenburg's wishes to end the show and decided to keep it going while also turning the SpongeBob franchise into something they can run into the ground (Airing 24/7 marathons, lots of promotion for a single 11-minute episode, making sure the Kids Choice Awards are in SpongeBob's favor, etc).
Anyway, it got me thinking: If "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie" was never made, then maybe SpongeBob would still end on Hillenburg's terms and not become the huge cash cow franchise it is now.
Again, this is just my opinion. If you don't agree with me, that's okay.
