Note: This is related to the "Rose-Colored Glasses and Red Flags" journal I wrote a while ago.

Yesterday, while I was on DeviantArt, I got into a brief conversation with someone who made a status update about SaberSpark, a YouTuber who reviews animated movies and shows, and his "What Ruined The Owl House" video.

They accused him of "making bad stuff" about "Star vs The Forces of Evil" and being "the source of Star hate". Not only that but they refuse to accept the opinions of anyone who has different views on SvTFoE and how it ended.

They also think Saber's "What Ruined" videos are just "bad reviews". I tried to explain to them that his latest "What Ruined" video is an essay on why "The Owl House" was cancelled and how it was mistreated by Disney but they refused to listen.

And when I ended the conversation as politely as possible, they blocked me.

This is why that "rose-colored glasses" quote from "BoJack Horseman" really stuck with me. There's nothing wrong with enjoying a TV show you like. But it's not cool to be so obsessed with that show to the point where you outright ignore its red flags and absolutely refuse to accept other people's opinions on it.
