Just wanted to get out a quick reminder to make sure everyone is aware.

YOUR DISCORD IMAGE LINKS ARE EXPIRING ON YOU, BREAKING THEM*

Discord has cracked down on people using their service to host images (sending it in a private server and using the link from there) by making images expire after a short while.

Especially important to get out since I'm aware that people will need somewhere to host their images for their profile HTML.

So where do I host my images then?

A service I used before and others recommend is File Garden, but there are other places to host images. This comment under the thread I linked to provides a nice set of alternatives.

Whatever you do, do not, and I stress this, DO NOT USE IMGUR OR NEOCITIES TO HOST YOUR IMAGES! Both of these sites make it clear in their ToSes that they do not allow their services to be used as image hosts.

*clarification: images that are hotlinked elsewhere (that is, you taking the image link and using it somewhere else like sheezy) expire. images that are on discord itself should be unaffected.
