wanted to share a little tibit about petitions, esp change org petitions
95% of the time they're not gonna work, esp when it's about a much larger issue. Signing a petition won't magically make the problem go away, and it's most likely just gonna get your inbox flooded and your personal data sent off to them.
Technically it's context-sensitive like they might have a better chance with local issues like saving a specific location in your town or getting your school's administration to do something, but it's not much because of the next part:
You need to do more than just sign. Think to yourself next time you see a petition, "what else can I do to directly take action outside of idly signing a petition?" Plenty of places (Sheezy included) usually link a variety of resources to take direct action such as contacting your representatives or certain stakeholders either alongside or in place of a petition. You can also escalate an issue to the press as well.
That's all I wanted to say about change org petitions, try to go above a single sign.
(As for that UK petition site, idk how different it is since it's technically a government website..?)
did all of 3 attacks and then fucked off for the rest of artfight because i literally could not muster up any motivation for more
instead i just learned blender
also recently i've been getting back into godot and i've been following a tutorial to set up source-like movement and a weapon manager system for like a rougelike fps game prototype (i gotta follow tutorials because i'm not cracked at programming at all to figure all of this stuff myself is that normal for a beginner and/or inexperienced programmer) (i'm more of an artist than programmer rip 😭)
